DYNTRAN (Dynamics of Transmission: Families, Authority and Knowledge in the Early Modern Middle East, 15^th-17^th Centuries) is a research program funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR).

This three year program (2015-2018) associates:

• the Centre for Near and Middle Eastern Studies of the Philipps-Universität Marburg,
• the Lab. Mondes iranien et indien of the French National Center for Research (CNRS, UMR 7528),
• with the partnership of the Institut Français d’Archéologie Orientale (IFAO) in Cairo.
